Wayne is Lame

As usual, I was lying on my bed, catching up on today's newspaper, waiting for my eyes to shut down, calling it for a day. The newspapers nowadays are too depressing to read, with flashing subtitles like, Cabinet mulling over lowering fuel prices, Anwar: No reason to arrest me, Iran says to continue nuclear path before deadline, Penang expresses 'regret' over Fed Govt move, Heavy traffic has residents worried, etc. What has happened to all the good news?

As I was thinking and mulling over it, a sudden thought came to me and I smiled. It was a joke shared to me by Wayne. I was talking to him this afternoon and he decided to make me happy by sharing a lame joke about some Char Siew Pao s. Haha. Really lame. I remember telling him that if he was there at that time with me, I would have awarded him a punch. It was really lame.

Well, what can you expect from Wayne? Just a quick browse through his Wall in facebook and you will know that he is dubbed as the lamest boy ever lived in ISCA. Haha. Wayne is lame. Lame is Wayne. Hey, it rhymes too! Haha.

But this lame boy who to a certain extend, annoying to some people, holds a very special place in my heart. I have the privilege to watch him grow from a very young boy then to now a young man of God. But still lame. Haha. Anyway, it's truly a blessing to have this friend who will never fail to brighten up my day with his friendship and lame jokes (just like today) and I appreciate him.

Sometimes, you feel like you really want to bash him up with the lame jokes he comes up with (and also for making you feel like an idiot because you couldn't answer his lame questions), but more often than not, it was all his jokes that has accompanied us through our lives, through the seasons of life and giving us a reason to smile. And we love you for that, Wayne.

Thank you for being who you are.
